Christmas Celebrated on the 25th of December every year to rejoice at the nativity of Christ, Christmas is perhaps the most important festival of the Christians. Easter The Christian community rejoices at the resurrection of Christ on Easter. It falls on the first Sunday after the full moon, following the vernal equinox. Good Friday Good Friday is observed two days before Easter to honor the martyrdom of Jesus Christ. It is a day of somber ceremonies for all Christians. St. Francis Xavier’s Day To pay tribute to St. Francis Xavier, ceremonies are held in the Church of Bom Jesus in Goa, on his death anniversary. Devotees in large numbers visit the church to seek his blessings.
